This has covered a variety of experiences, much like most everyone else, from technical support to Cloud Operations. I have always been interested in IT security and just recently lucked into the opportunity to apply my DevOps and automation experience to that goal.</p> <p>From the automation perspective I started with simple bash scripts to simplify my life as a datacenter technician and later started writing Ruby scripts and gems for Cloud Operations. This led to my joining the DevOps team that managed the deployment and upgrade orchestration for the cloud environments we managed.</p>
